Implementation the project "Emergency WASH/Cholera Response Interventions for the most vulnerable affected communities and IDPs in high priority district, Salh, Taiz governorate" that is funded by United Nations Office for Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs UNOCHA – Yemen
The number of beneficiaries of the project is 47,215 people of the most vulnerable affected communities and IDPs.
Projects
Conducting a community awareness campaign in Amanat Al Asimah and Sana'a governorates about the epidemics including Cholera, Diphtheria, Typhoid etc., while the directly targeted beneficiaries of school students reaching 4,897 of female and male student s, and indirectly reached 19,588 beneficiaries of men, women, boys and girls.
Printing and distribution of posters and broachers about the symptoms of epidemics including Cholera, Diphtheria, Typhoid etc., and the key messages to avoid the infection of these diseases and raise awareness on key public health messages among affected communities and schools in the targeted locations in Amant Al Asimah and Sana'a governorate.
Conduct training workshops for a number of volunteers to carry out awareness campaign in the affected communities to fight cholera outbreak, typhoid and other common diseases, and providing them with the adequate information on key health message
Conducting needs assessment in the Water, Sanitation and Hygiene "WASH" in partnership with Peer Foundation for Relief and Development in the villages of Hadar, Safi and Ribat Al-Saidi in Bani Saif Al-Aali area in Al-Qafar district, Ibb governorate.
Responding to WASH Cluster request to transport 1,000 Basic Hygiene Kits to IDPs from Al-Hodeidah in a number of districts in Sana'a governorate including Saffan and Manakhah.
